This summer, the entertainment industry has dealt with the relapse of Demi Lovato, who is currently undergoing treatment following her drug overdose, as well as Mac Miller’s death on Friday at the age of 26-years-old. As a result of the aforementioned tragedies, people in the scene are talking about drug addiction and substance abuse.
One of those stars includes the legend, Lady Gaga, who recently walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, for her new movie, A Star Is Born, in which she co-stars along with Bradley Cooper, The Hangover star.
In the film directed by Bradley, fans can see familiar faces like Lady Gaga, Anthony Ramos, Sam Elliot, and Dave Chappelle. However, Lady Gaga took some time away from promoting her movie, and instead, spoke on addiction problems in Hollywood and in the entertainment industry.
Coincidentally, her latest movie features a main character who struggles with drug issues. During a chat with Variety, the star said, “I think what would be wonderful is that we intervene early in life when we see people struggling.”
Additionally, the pop star described the lifestyle of the rich and famous as “unnatural,” because they’re constantly under pressure and scrutiny.
Cardi B echoed similar statements over the weekend while at the New York Fashion Week event, where she said that fame brings a lot of pressure.
As it was previously reported, Mac Miller, 26, who admitted to having drug problems many times in the past, succumbed to his illness on Friday, shocking everyone in the music and hip-hop community.
The result of which led a cascade of fans on Instagram to lay the responsibility on Arianna Grande, the ex-girlfriend of Mac. The young star even turned her Instagram comments off.
