Kim Kardashian’s personal trainer, Melissa Alcantara, is revealing all the secrets on how the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star gets into top shape. From her healthy whole foods diet to a rigorous exercises regime, here’s everything you need to do to get that famous Kardashian look.
Alcantara has been training Kardashian ever since she received a phone call in the spring of 2017. What started as a quick meeting and consultation turned into a full-time gig for the former bodybuilder. After Alcantara moved to Los Angeles to train Kardashian full time, she put the KUWTK star on a strict diet to build muscle in select areas.
“Kim told me, ‘I love my body. I love the way it looks, and I love my hips,” Alcantara shared. “She just wanted more muscle. She wanted bigger hamstrings, which accentuates the entire leg. And she wants those cut arms and abs!”
Alcantara trains with the reality star six days every week, starting at 6 in the morning. Alcantara targets key areas of the body for three days, including biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, and back. The other days are all focused on legs.
In between workouts, the pair mixes up their cardio between low-intensity walks and high energy runs. Although Alcantara admitted that Kardashian hates doing legs, she remains committed to the grueling process. And so far, her efforts are paying off.
Alcantara revealed that Kardashian has gotten great results in her triceps and legs. Kardashian can’t even believe the progress she’s made over the past few months, especially considering how she recently gave birth to another child. But working out is only half the battle.
Kardashian also works hard on her nutrition. In the past, Kardashian would trim up by going on mini diets throughout the year. Now, she has switched over to a healthier meal plan.
In fact, she has an entire team of chefs who prepare her food and make sure she’s getting the best balance of carbs, fats, and proteins. What does her diet look like on a normal day?
Kardashian loves to eat blueberry oatmeal pancakes in the morning, followed by chicken, potatoes, and vegetable in the afternoon. She ends the day with some more veggies and fish.
The only foods that Kardashian avoids are processed, like cookies and crackers.
And although she enjoys an occasional treat, Alcantara says that Kardashian is great at sticking to the diet.
While most people don’t have a team of chefs and a personal trainer to lean on, Alcantara offered everyone a little advice. The trainer revealed the four tips she told Kardashian when it comes to getting the body of your dreams: make goals, set a plan, remain disciplined, and keep your routine fresh in your mind.
Part of that is also writing out your goals, which helps to keep you accountable and is a nice way to check things off once you reach your goal.
By the looks of it, Kim Kardashian is reaching her goals.
