Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton & More Celebs Mourn ‘Playboy’ Founder, Hugh Hefner
Hugh Hefner was indeed the ultimate playboy. After his passing, celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Bella Thorne turned to social media to mourn the man who created Playboy.
Hugh Hefner reportedly passed away peacefully at 91 years at the Playboy Mansion on September 27.
'My father lived an exceptional and impactful life as a media and cultural pioneer and a leading voice behind some of the most significant social and cultural movements of our time in advocating free speech, civil rights, and sexual freedom,' Hugh Hefner’s son and the CCO of Playboy Enterprises, Cooper Hefner, confessed in a statement on Wednesday.
'He defined a lifestyle and ethos that lie at the heart of the Playboy brand, one of the most recognizable and enduring in history,' he added.
'He will be greatly missed by many, including his wife Crystal [Harris], my sister Christie and my brothers David and Marston, and all of us at Playboy Enterprises.'
More celebrities took to social media to mourn the legend.
Kim Kardashian posted a heartfelt tweet, writing, 'RIP to the legendary Hugh Hefner! I’m so honored to have been a part of the Playboy team! You will be greatly missed! Love you Hef! Xoxo.'
Paris Hilton also praised Hefner, tweeting pics of her and the businessman and writing, 'So sad to hear the news about @HughHefner. ? #RIPHef.'
Kim then posted another tweet where she said she and Paris were texting about Hugh’s passing! 'Paris & I are reminiscing about the Playboy parties at the mansion & how much we love Hef,' she wrote. 'She texts me the perfect Hef emojis ???????????.' Rest in Peace, Hugh Hefner!
