It was reported late last month that Kid Rock took the stage at a bar he owned in Nashville, Tennessee, and talked smack about Oprah Winfrey among other female celebrities. Reported by TMZ earlier today, the outlet states that Kid Rock is now moving on from the restaurant because he’s tired of people calling him a racist.
The rocker announced he wasn’t going to renew the licensing agreement on the establishment for Made in Detroit, a restaurant at the Little Caesars Arena. In other words, Kid Rock is closing the restaurant in the home of both the Detroit Red Wings as well as the Pistons.
As it was noted above, last week, Kid Rock took to the stage at his Honky Tonk bar in Nashville, and said aloud with a beer can in his hand, “f*ck Oprah!” Some of the people in the crowd felt it was a racist rant, which he even acknowledged during his speech, however, it didn’t appear to work.

All this BS going on has just go my blood pumpin’ and is only more songwriting fuel for a new record and tour in 2021. I am beholden to no one, no corporate sponsors, no label and I am gonna go the fuck off! You haters better be shaking in your boots. To my supporters and fans, I will not let you down. I guarantee it will be my best record and tour ever. Devil Without a Cause… Kid Rock
Kid Rock suggested he loved the city of Detroit and felt it was his home, however, he felt a lack of appreciation for the millions of dollars he “pumped into” it over the years.
Furthermore, there was a group of protestors who intended to start picketing on Wednesday before he revealed he would close it indefinitely.
Kid Rock added that he may be a “loud mouth jerk” at times in his life, but the idea of him being racist was a laughable joke because he has had nothing but respect for the black community nearly his entire life. Additionally, the performer shouted out to Al Sharpton and referred to him as a “race-baiting clown.”
The rocker/rapper threw in a “Trump 2020” as well. As fans of the star know, Kid Rock has had beef with Oprah Winfrey for many years.
Previously, the singer revealed there were a series of stipulations and standards he had to meet before he could go on her show a decade and a half ago. Kid Rock claims Oprah’s team asked for him to make a list of 5 things that he loved about both the host and the show. He declined.
