Khloe Kardashian is catching heat again for cultural appropriation. A few hours ago, the reality TV star took to social media to share a series of photos and videos where she is happily flaunting a new sexy hairstyle.
Khloe, who is famous for often switching up her hairstyle and color, is now rocking fun and light pink cornrows. In the photos, the mother of one is sporting a white Nike sports bra with shorts and a pair of sneakers.
When a non-person of color wears cornrow braids, it is often associated with controversy because the style is linked to Egyptian, Native American, and black cultures.
While there were many harsh comments about her wanting to be black, there were multiple sweet messages such as:
One fan stated: “Your such an inspiration to many but more to me thank u for not changing ur Real person the exterior is flawless 💋.”
Another person claimed: “Omg, you’re hair is the perfect thing 😫💞 love u.” This backer shared: “Ok you stay this beautiful ❤️ I love you my khloemoney 😩😩.”
Meanwhile, Tristan Thompson is working hard to show Khloe how much he loves and misses her.
A family friend claimed: “Tristan’s Instagram compliments are only what the world sees. In real life, he comes on even stronger. He sends her flowers all the time. Her house is filled with flowers, and a lot of them are from Tristan. He sends her sweet texts and never stops telling her he wants her back. Khloe enjoys the attention, but she’s still wary of him in that respect. She trusts him as a father for True, but, as far as getting back together at this point, she wants to keep things the way they are.”
The insider added: “Tristan wants Khloe back, and he will continue to flirt with Khloe in real life and also online constantly. He is really looking forward to being around her a lot more starting next month when his NBA season will be over.”
The pal concluded by: “He is going to really try to be with True quite often this summer, which will mean he gets to be with Khloe too. He feels it will be a complete win-win, and his hopes are to get Khloe back officially and then worry about signing onto a new team in July.”
Ray J and his sister, Brandy, have said that this is more of a “compliment” than “cultural appropriation.”
