Producers of Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta are giving star Kenya Moore the boot after she ran off for a secret wedding last summer and refuses to put her new husband on the show, so now they are looking for someone to fill her place. Will the casting team find the right person to join NeNe Leakes, Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, and Sheree Whitfield as a new cast member?
Radar Online is reporting that producers are already testing new women and are considering bringing Kim Zolciak back as a regular, but they won’t make the official call about a possible cast shake-up until after this season’s reunion. Zolciak has been trying to make her way back on the show as more than a friend, but her fate is still up in the air.
“Kim coming on board full time won’t be determined until after the reunion is taped,” an insider revealed. “And Eva Marcille may or may not be brought back yet.”
Moore did everything she could to keep her spot on the show, including teasing that she could be pregnant. She even went as far as to take a pregnancy test and then go to a doctor. But, it was all a performance to spice up her storyline. Moore never believed that she was actually pregnant, and her castmates and producers saw right through her.
The 47-year-old even claimed that she had declined to go on the cast trip to Barcelona, but it turns out that producers told her that she wasn’t going, and it cost her $100,000.
Moore and her husband, Marc Daily, have laid low ever since they tied the knot, but they recently made a rare public appearance together at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party. However, when the question of pregnancy came up, she refused to give a straight answer.
Instead, the former Miss USA said that she appreciates people rooting for her and her husband and wanting the best for them, but she wasn’t going to say anything else about the topic.
But, she did have plenty to say about Zolciak, claiming that she is appearing on the show to prove something and earn a paycheck, and she finds that to be very sad.
When it comes to the possibility that Moore and Zolciak will ever end their public feud and makeup, Moore says “never say never,” but she is going to just stay focused on herself, look forward to all of the things happening in her life, and focus on her family.
New episodes of Real Housewives of Atlanta air Sunday nights on Bravo.
Kenya Moore has not commented on the rumors she could be out next season.
