Kelly Ripa has proved time and time again that she isn’t the type of person to back down from a social media argument. The 47-year-old host shared a video on Thursday, May 31st, of herself riding a version of a mechanical bull during her morning talk show.
One person among her gigantic, nearly, two-million-person following wrote, “this makes me extremely uncomfortable.” Ripa wasn’t interested in dealing with such comments even one bit and told the fan to “unfollow me” then. The host went on to joke that the commenter must be a fan of The Ellen Show.
As you may know, Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are known by their fans for fighting back against social media trolls with audacity and with a sense of humor.
Back in March, an Instagram user left a comment on her photograph with her husband, Mark, and said that he was trying to “look taller.” Mark is only 5’8″, and Kelly is even shorter than that.
Ripa wrote in response to the troll, “he’s tall where it counts babe.” The couple frequently defends each other on social media. Just a few weeks later, Consuelos had his wife’s back when he posted a picture of her in a bikini online.
Mark said that if it offended trolls on the internet to see a 47-year-old woman in a bikini then they could just “get over it.”
As the world knows, celebrities are frequently the target of mean social media commenters, who make senseless remarks about a person’s body type and image.
Yesterday, Bella Hadid dealt with her own version of a troll when she sat down in an interview and dispelled rumors that she has had work done to her face. The supermodel told the interviewer that they could just get a “scan” done to determine if it’s real.
