Katy Perry Pays Tribute To Her Late Friend, Angelica Cob-Baehler
The singer is mourning the passing of her good friend Angelica Cob-Baehler. The woman sadly passed away on November 21 from cancer at the age of only 47.
Katy Perry took to social media to share with her many followers a number of pics that feature her and her late pal throughout the years.
In the caption, she wrote: ‘Six days ago, one of the biggest champions and my realest friends, Angelica Cob-Baehler moved from this place. She was one of the very strongest women that I have ever known - fighting her cancer like frigging Rocky, enduring chemo and immunotherapy, a tracheotomy and feeding tubes for months, as well as experimental treatment trials.’
Perry went on to say that ‘I watched her go through a number of stages for over a year, but some things remained constant: her sarcasm/wicked sense of humor, positive outlook, and the incredible love that she had for her family.’
Variety explains that Cob-Baehler was a music business executive and that she also worked for multiple record labels such as Virgin Records, Atlantic, The Firm and Sony.
That being said, she met Katy Perry at Columbia Records and they quickly became BFFs.
Other big names Cob-Baehler worked with throughout her career are John Mayer, 30 Seconds to Mars, Ice Cube, his son O'Shea Jackson Jr., and more!
Katy also wrote in her tribute message that it was her friend who pretty much ‘willed’ her into existence career-wise when she pretty much stole her files from what she called ‘limbo’ at Columbia Records and gave them life at Capitol Records!
She also described the late woman as someone as close to her as a sister and who always had her back and showed her ‘the ropes.’
Katy also explained that it took her some time to post about Cob-Baehler's passing online just for the reason that it would make it ‘too final.’
