Kate Upton opened up during an interview with Time Magazine recently where she dished on the alleged inappropriate misconduct perpetrated by Paul Marciano of Guess Jeans. The 25-year-old model accused the 65-year-old of varying levels of assault and harassment: all claims he vehemently denied.
Back in 2011, Kate said she had finished the Guess Lingerie campaign, and Paul said he wanted to meet her, so she met up with him along with Yu Tsai, who was her photographer at the time. Tsai confirmed that he was there for the incident.
Marciano allegedly walked right up to her and “forcibly grabbed” her breasts and started feeling them without her approval.
Paul explained his behavior as “making sure they’re real.” Throughout their working relationship – which lasted one year – Paul continued to try and meet up with her alone, touched her, harassed her, smelled her, and it took constant effort on her part to avoid his incessant harassing.
Marciano told her photographer, Yu Tsai, to leave and Kate had the chance to say to him to stay through text message.
Afterward, Paul allegedly grabbed her face and neck and started kissing her, and she didn’t want to say anything back because Kate wanted to avoid having her mouth open, so Marciano didn’t have the chance to “put his tongue” down it.
Eventually, Kate was fired from the photo shoot and Paul began spreading rumors about her alleged lack of professionalism before calling her a “fat pig.”
As you may know, this is just one of many allegations to come out in the last six months. Mohamed Hadid, the father of Gigi and Bella, also was accused of “date-rape” by a model. However, he vehemently denied the claims and said, not only where they never alone together, their meetup “was not a date.”
