During a BBC studios visit last week, Kate Middleton initiated some swoon-worthy as well as some really rare PDA with her husband Prince William! As fans of the royal family may be aware, the blue-blooded couple was almost never spotted in public showing any type of touchy-feely affection – not even holding hands!
But now, it looks like Kate gave in and touched William.
As they were being interviewed by Blue Peter from BBC during their Manchester visit, the Duchess touched her husband’s knee!
Sure enough, the PDA made us immediately think of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s interaction during their engagement announcement interview when they held hands throughout the entire thing.
The American actress also joked on camera and touched her fiance’s knee!
Did their romance-filled interview inspire Kate Middleton to do the same?
Still, we shouldn’t say they’ve never shown any type of PDA, it’s just been a really long time!
Back in 2012 during the London Olympics, they were so happy about the fact that the British track cycling team won the gold medal that they shared a spontaneous hug.
So cute, but why are these moments so rare? Royal rules are so strict, but thankfully we have a Prince that couldn’t care less about them so we should expect a lot of PDA from Harry and Meghan.
Kate has also kissed her royal husband’s cheek during their tour in the United States back in 2011.
But in a way, that was pretty expected considering she presented him with both the silver and gold trophy following a polo match at the time – so it was pretty much a congratulatory kiss and nothing more.
Celebrity Insider readers, what do you think about the very proper royal pair showing some PDA from time to time?
