Kate Beckinsale finally dropped her funny-girl act when a fan asked if the person she was hanging around with was her son. The star was spotted at a basketball game recently with Stephen Simbari, and people online thought maybe she was his mother.
On the 13th of January, Sunday, Kate and Simbari, who also works as her assistant, went to a Los Angeles Lakers game. It was the match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the LA Lakers at the Staples Center.
The 45-year-old actress shared a photo of her and her assistant at the game. In the caption, she wrote that she and her friend were there for the game, but also the fashion, as she really enjoyed the players’ “particularly fire” tube socks.
When a person asked if it was her son, Kate said, “he is my son yes,” and added that she has kept him in her basement for the last 29 years and every once in a while, she decides to take him out on “jaunts.” Kate has a 19-year-old daughter with her ex, Michael Sheen. Her name is Lily.
Recently, Kate has been spotted hanging around comedian, Matt Rife, who is 20-years younger than her. Moreover, she also hung around Pete Davidson, 25. On the 12th of January, Pete supposedly addressed the rumors when a fan yelled her name at him during a performance.
Pete responded with a coy, “yes,” and a grin from ear-to-ear. A source who spoke with Us Weekly claimed the Saturday Night Live star was keeping it under wraps, but he could hardly wipe the grin off of his face while at the Tarrytown Music Hall in New York.
As it was previously reported, rumors of a potential romance between Pete and Kate swirled earlier in the month when they were seen getting comfortable at an afterparty following the Golden Globes ceremony. Insiders told the outlet that she was waiting for him, and it looked like she wasn’t interested in speaking with anybody but him.
This all comes after Ariana and Pete shut down their half-a-year engagement following Mac Miller’s death in the late summer months. Rumor has it that Ariana’s romance with the SNL star was merely a rebound.
