Both Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski represented cast from the Queer Eye team at Taylor Swift’s 30th birthday party earlier in December, however, Karamo Brown, another star of the aforementioned television show, doesn’t feel so bad for not getting invited.
The 39-year-old claimed, “I wasn’t invited, but that’s ok,” to reporters from Us Magazine at the Miss America 2.0 2020 Competition in Connecticut. Mr. Brown claimed he loved Swift, but he doesn’t feel bad, because the other guys on the show had a great time for everyone else.
Mr. Brown said to the outlet he lives in Los Angeles and they’re in New York, so that may have played a role in the fact he wasn’t invited. According to Karamo, it’s not “shade,” so he doesn’t feel so bad about not going to the star-studded bash.
As it was previously reported, Swift celebrated her birthday along with a list of celebrities including Camila Cabello, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds. Some of the other big names there include Halsey, Porowski and Van Ness.
On the other hand, nearly everyone from the cast of Queer Eye made an appearence in the singer’s music video from June of this year. Us Magazine reports that Brown gets along well with the other cast members of the show, which also includes Bobby Berk and Tan France as well.
Brown said to the outlet that he and the rest of the guys continue getting stronger as a group. While fighting back tears, Brown said he didn’t know why he almost cries when talking about them. “I want to start crying because I just love them so much!” the actor remarked.
Additionally, Brown addressed Jonathan’s HIV revelation from earlier this year in a September interview with The New York Times. The star said he and the rest of the cast already know, so it wasn’t a huge deal, although, Brown admitted it was very inspiring to see the reception.
Regarding Queer Eye news, Brown admitted he actually wore high heels in an episode of the upcoming fifth season of the aforementioned television show. Brown is stoked for the new season to come out.
