Kanye West is a creative genius before anything else. The artist is now putting his touch on his wife’s first baby — ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ — and the change is already apparent by the new trailer that was just released.
Yeezy is seen on the show now but very rarely and doesn’t do any interviews. His reasoning behind it was that the way it is filmed is just not his taste.
The musician told Hot 97: “I don’t really do her show just because I don’t particularly like the way the producers shoot some of the shots. I’m very meticulous to that, right? I like to get a different DP [director of photography] or whatever.”
There is no word on whether or not the series hired a new director of photography but Kanye is taking on the title as creative director.
In the trailer that dropped earlier this week, Ye is seen directing his now-famous church services. His hit ‘Power’ serves as the clip’s background tune.
The NY Times states that Kanye offers his input on everything from the promo looks to marketing packages and more.
“He’s a real creative force, clearly, and had thoughts on marketing, thoughts on presentation of the show, on the opening title sequence,” the president of E! explained.
The most notable difference is that Kanye will be featured in the interview confessionals.
Season 16 premieres on Sunday and promises to be maybe the most dramatic yet.
The juicy drama about Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal will serve as a main focal point down the road.
The new installment will also address Kanye’s previous sporadic behavior, prompted move to Chicago, and crumbling friendships. The power couple has a fourth baby on the way in the midst of all the chaos.
Kourtney is going to be dealing with her breakup with Younes Bendjima and unresolved feelings for Scott Disick. Kendall Jenner isn’t seen much in the preview and Kylie Jenner’s storyline will obviously tie-in to the Khloe and Tristan downfall.
