It turns out that Kanye West has another album coming down the tubes on Saturday, the 29th of September, called Yandhi. It’s the same night that West is premiering on Saturday Night Live.
On Twitter, the 41-year-old rapper confirmed the announcement and also added that it’s likely his record will come in the number 2 spot, rather than the first, because of Lil’ Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter V, released after years of litigation between Wayne and Birdman.
Kanye said on Twitter that “we’re releasing Yandhi Saturday night” but he and the rest of his team know that Wayne’s album will probably come out on top. Regardless, the rapper added that it’s great to have new Wayne and Ye music out at the same time.

We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely
The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time

As it was previously reported, Ye released his latest effort to generally positive reviews, although it didn’t sell quite as well as his other albums. Despite positive critical reception, not everyone enjoyed it. The Daily Beast claimed that Kanye’s record wasn’t up to snuff.
Ye came shortly after West’s controversies in June, when he wore a “Make America Great Again” in public, and said on TMZ that “400 years of slavery was a choice,” insinuating that African-American problems are mental, rather than historically based.
Moreover, Kanye and the artist on his GOOD Music record label, Pusha-T, found themselves involved in a beef with Toronto-native, Drake, after Pusha released a devastating diss-track, accusing the More Life artist of not helping African-American communities, neglecting his own child, and bringing up Drake’s mixed ethnic background.
The single was called, “The Story Of Adidon,” and it featured an embarrassing photograph of Drake on the front cover wearing black-face.
Drake took to Instagram afterward to explain himself, saying that the photo was done in protest to stereotypes in the entertainment industry. Nevertheless, Kanye certainly knows how to stir up controversy. At this point, the public expects it from the fashion and music juggernaut.
