Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Banned From Joining BFF John Legend On The Voice
The new season of The Voice is about to premiere on NBC, and inside sources claim that John Legend's best friends , Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, are not going to be invited to join him on set.
Legend is serving as Jennifer Hudson's replacement in Season 16 and reportedly wanted West to be his advisor. Those plans fell apart after Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson got wind of the situation and complained to producers.
"Kanye has just caused too many problems in his personal life and endeavors lately and they just feel that it would be best if he and Kim stayed away from the show for John’s first season," an insider dished.
According to Radar Online , Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, are good friends with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars. In fact, the couples recently took a vacation together in San Francisco, California, where they solidified their bonds of friendship.
The source, meanwhile, revealed that Legend has been frequently bringing his wife to the set, which usually creates a lot of excitement – everybody loves Chrissy! Luckily, everyone has gotten along with her so far. That said, his co-stars allegedly feel like Legend has a big ego and that he needs to settle down a bit.
Legend recently opened up about being a part of the hit singing competition. After appearing on the show as a mentor and guest, the iconic singer admitted that he is thrilled to compete against Shelton, Levine, and Clarkson. He is also excited to discover new talent and cannot wait to see all of the new contestants.
Although he is fresh to the competition, Legend has an uphill battle ahead if he wants to win it all. Shelton currently has the most wins at six, while Levine has won three times and Clarkson has two titles under her belt. Unfortunately, he won't be getting any help from West this season.
Legend has not commented on the rumors surrounding Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's involvement on The Voice .
Fans can watch John Legend take the stage when the new season of The Voice premieres Feb. 25 on NBC.
