Kandi Burruss’ Restaurant Sued After Being Slapped With Nasty Health Code Violations
Kandi Burruss has been receiving a lot of heat over her restaurant! We have learned that the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s eatery has been hit with many health code violations and now she is even being taken to court!
On September 25, contractor Charles Busbee sued the reality TV star and her hubby Todd Tucker for allegedly not paying a total of $16,512 for his services.
The man stated in the documents that he worked on Old Lady Gang starting from March 19 to June 27, last year.
According to the contractor, Cedric Drayton – Tucker’s architect, wrote only bad checks that totaled the amount of money she owned him.
In addition, during an inspection last summer, Burruss’ restaurant earned a score of 78 out of 100.
Apparently, the Southern eatery lost points because it did not have the ‘adequate handwashing facilities supplied and accessible.’
What is even worse is that the place was flagged red on the Georgia Department of Public Health website, which ‘indicates this violation is a known risk factor for foodborne illness.’
In addition, the facility violated other requirements such as having paper towels and soap close to the hand washing sink, which she did not have.
There was soil buildup in the ice bin and ‘potentially hazardous cold food held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit.’
Finally, the inspector that reviewed the place noticed one employee was not wearing a hair restraint.
Five days later when the inspector returned, things did improve a lot but they still found two more violations – cold and hot foods were not stored at the right temperatures.
Do you believe Burruss should close down her restaurant?
