Kandi Burruss Opens Up About Her ‘Scary’ Surrogacy Journey

Kandi Burruss is opening up about her decision to have a third addition to the family via a surrogate and sharing her experience about the whole process up until now. The RHOA star chatted with HollywoodLife about it and here’s what she had to say!
As fans of the popular reality TV show are aware, Kandi and her hubby Todd Tucker want to have a third child and are pursuing surrogacy to make that wish a reality.
About the stage she’s reached in her surrogacy journey, Kandi told the outlet that ‘Well, we are about to start the treatments to do the transfer. Because you have to go through a psychological review for the potential carrier and yourself, and obviously, we have to negotiate a contract.’
She went on to share that at the psychological review, they ‘ask you questions you did not really think about. The whole thing is [it’s] her body, our baby. So, it’s a lot to think about. It is already scary for us to go into this, but the more questions and different things the counselor brings up before they approve you moving forward, it is just things that I did not even think about.’
It must feel really weird for the mothers who use this method to bring new life into the world since most seem to have a hard time processing how their baby is growing inside another woman’s body.
Furthermore, the same goes for the surrogate and apparently, Kandi’s IVF doctor told her he prefers someone who’s done it before and of course, lives in the same city or state.
‘It’s not like there are a lot of them, and then you have to see who you feel comfortable with, and it’s just so many questions,’ the RHOA star added before teasing that fans will learn more about it on the show!
