Kandi Burruss Explains What 'The Show Must Be Paused' Movement Means
Kandi Burruss is explaining to people what the movement called #TheShowMustBNePaused means. This is something that takes place today, and you can read all the details in Kandi's post below.
'Someone asked me what does #theshowmustbepaused mean. To me, it means to allow June 2nd to be a day to support the Black community. Put a pause on work. Put a pause on self-promotion. Support the movement that is happening to make a change in this country. If I post anything on June 2nd it’s gonna be for and about the movement or the progression of black people.
#theshowmustbepaused#BlackOutTuesday#BlackLivesMatter,' Kandi captioned her post.
This post managed to trigger a massive debate in the comments.
A follower said: 'It’s June 2nd now.... How about let’s plan ahead and execute something for June 19th,' and someone else posted this message: 'Nah, homie. Why would we disconnect in the middle of fighting for our lives? Much love, though.'
A fan asked: 'And how does this help?? Maybe get off social media and actually take action???' and someone else said: 'Let’s really make this PAUSE count by actually remembering to NOT LOG ON to any social media. LETS ALL DISCONNECT ALL THE WAY = Give these corporations NO DATA!!!! Let’s GO.'
An Instagrammer said: 'I'm confused...not being funny...but what is the expected outcome of this?? Like Wed Morning...what next?? I wanna support, just dont understand what this is about,' and another follower posted this: 'Wrong answer! We can’t disconnect! We have to keep telling the story because no one else is telling the truth about what’s really happening.'
Someone else said: 'We should ALL black out. America doesn't want to listen to us, let's show what happens when we all go Black.'
In other news, Kandi addressed the important subject of police violence during a convo with Brandon Anderson.
Kandi triggered a massive debate in the comments again with this subject, as you can imagine due to the recent events.
