Last summer, Kandi Burruss' good name was dragged for the firing of her friend, Nene Leakes, from The Great Xscape Tour .

Nene was supposed to open the tour for divas Kandi, Tiny Harris, and the Scott sisters -- Latocha and Tamika.

The aspirant comedian and Real Housewives of Atlanta star was fired from the tour after she made a rape joke during her set in Oakland, California.

Nene told a female heckler that she hoped she got raped by her Uber driver after leaving the event.

Many sources claimed that boss lady Kandi is the one who booted her co-star from the tour.

An insider said at the time: “NeNe feels betrayed because she considered all those girls friends but especially Tiny [Harris] and Kandi [Burruss]. She has had their backs for so many years and now when she needs them, poof, they disappear. She is shocked that they dropped her like this when she‘s already down. She knows her comment was out of line and she‘s owned up to it and apologized. Nene and Tiny have been friends for years, she‘s hurt that her dear friend doesn’t have more loyalty.” beginning?

Kandi has decided to clear the air by having a sit-down with Nene to discuss her firing.

Kandi told Nene: “People always want to blame me and say ‘Kandi kicked NeNe off the tour.’ So that is not what happened. I did not want to put her off the tour. No, I did not agree with what she said, but I do understand that a lot of times when we are just talking shit, things are said that are just offensive.”

Nene did break down and apologize for her insensitive remarks by saying: “I truly regret and apologize for what I said while on that stage in Oakland over the weekend. Sometimes words can cut deeper and hurt when you have no intentions of them doing so. As a woman and someone who has survived abuse, I regret the words that I used that night. I made a big mistake, and I should have known better. I hope people accept my deepest and sincerest apologies. I am sorry.”

Supporters hope that everyone will move on from this mess.
