JWoww Might Still Pay Her Estranged Husband Roger Mathews Spousal Support Even If She Proves Those Abuse Allegations – Lawyer Explains Why!
According to new reports, JWoww might have to pay her estranged husband Roger Mathews spousal support for years even if she gets primary custody of their kids! HollywoodLife chatted with Peter G. Aziz, a family lawyer that explained to the outlet the reason why that is a possibility.
As it turns out, if Jenni has no prenup she might end up paying her ex spousal support regardless of what a judge might decide regarding their custody situation.
‘It would depend on her assets and what is considered premarital or not,’ Aziz explained.
Furthermore, that could be the case even if she could prove he was abusive towards her as well!
When it comes to the amount of spousal support JWoww might be required to pay, the family attorney revealed that ‘A judge would have to decide, but it will never exceed the length of the marriage. New Jersey uses the ‘best interests of a child’ standard. In a joint custody-situation, one parent would be the one of primary residence while the other is the parent of alternate residence.’
As for the domestic abuse accusations, Roger has already defended himself after Jenni took to her website to share a lengthy public letter revealing everything.
The man also posted on his own site, saying he was ‘extremely saddened’ by her accusations and by the fact that they hadn’t managed to settle their differences for the sake of their kids.
He went on to say that ‘You and your post have made me [into] a monster. I took down all my posts which was recommended by both our councils, yet you leave yours up and just bask in your glory of tearing down the father of your children.’
