Julie Chen is no longer a co-host on The Talk, and she announced her departure via a video message that aired on Big Brother. Julie quit her gig after her husband’s sexual abuse and harassment scandal and exit from the CBS Corporation.
The clip shows the woman getting emotional over her departure from The Talk.
Chen starts by looking back at her debut on the show, saying: ‘I’ve been on The Talk since the very day it started 9 years ago and the cast, crew, and staff members have become family over the years.’
She goes on to make it very clear that she still supports her husband and that he is the reason she is quitting.
‘Right now, I need to spend time at home with my husband and our son, so I have decided to leave The Talk.’
Julie adds: ‘… I want to thank all of you, the viewers, for letting me into your homes every day. It was a privilege I will forever be grateful for.’
While thanking the crew members, Chen gets emotional and teary-eyed and goes on to sent personalized messages to all of her co-hosts.

When it was Sara Gilbert and Sharon Osbourne’s turn she begins to fight her tears once again.
‘To Sara and Sharon, we have been together since day one at The Talk. I spent every day with you. I’ll always treasure our friendship, the great parenting advice from both of you, and all the memories, laughs and private jokes that the 3 of us have shared. We’re the original 3 Musketeers. I love you all.’
The star concluded her message by stating that: ‘I know this show, and the sisterhood that it stands for, will live on for many years to come. You ladies have got this, and I can’t be more proud to call you my friends. I love you.’
