Juliana Margulies said in a recent interview that the former action-movie star, Steven Seagal, possessed a gun on his person when she went to his hotel room just a few years ago. Margulies, who was 23-years-old at the time, said Seagal wanted her to go to his hotel room at 10 o’clock at night.
When she arrived at his room around 10:40 pm, the casting director for the film wasn’t there, but the 65-year-old Seagal was present. Margulies said he “made sure that she saw his gun” and it was the first time she had ever seen one.
However, she was “never raped” and managed to get out. Juliana jokingly added that those situations always start with, “I’m a healer and I want to massage you.”
Not only did she have an awkward experience with Seagal, but the actress had a close encounter with disgraced producer, Harvey Weinstein as well.
Later in the same Sirius XM radio show, Margulies said she went to meet Harvey at his hotel room once in the past, and when she arrived, he had lit candles as if they were going to have dinner together.
However, she went to meet him with her assistant, and when Harvey saw her with another person, he slammed the door in her face and said “goodbye.” She claimed that Weinstein “opened the door” wearing nothing but a bathrobe.
Margulies said Harvey stared at her assistant for a moment and before slamming the door, he said, “I just wanted to say great audition.” However, she “of course,” didn’t get the part.
Since her harrowing experiences in the entertainment industry, Margulies is working with the author, Erin Merryn, to push “Erin’s Law” through Congress, which would require public schools to do what they can to protect children from physical and sexual abuse.
