According to new reports, Joy Reid’s reputation has been a well-known, but well-kept secret among her co-workers for a long time. In case you didn’t hear, a “hacker” supposedly leaked some of her old blog posts which were described as “hateful.”
Some of her former employers said she frequently referenced her hateful blog, threatened her workers once, and mocked a gay Republican on the air for his sexuality. As it was previously reported, Reid referred to a male politician as “Miss Charlie,” because he was gay.
One person who worked on the set of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” said she was like an “evil woman” back in those days.
Some of Joy’s critics have accused her of homophobic and anti-Jewish remarks, in addition to recommending conspiracy-theory movies about 9/11, and photoshopping a picture of John McCain’s head on to the body of the 2007 Virginia Tech gunman.
Now, Reid is coming under fire for her behavior when she worked as a co-host and producer for “Wake Up South Florida” from 2006 and 2007.

Andre Eggelletion, who used to work on the morning show with Reid, said she created one of the “most toxic work environment’s” he had ever experienced. She even threatened him with violence.
According to Eggelletion, the work environment was toxic because of her attitude and behavior, and once, during break time, Joy insinuated that they would have to fight if Andre ever “talked to her like that” again.
Lee Michaels, who was employed as the director for Syndication One, corroborated the story and said it “absolutely happened — 100 percent.”
Ever since Joy’s blog-posts re-surfaced, both Reid and MSNBC has been engaging in old-fashioned damage control to hopefully stop the ruination of both of their reputations.
However, it’s increasingly becoming a harder and harder job all of the time, as allegations continue to come out about Reid’s behavior. Coincidentally, the last two weeks have been tough on female hosts and stars, as Roseanne Barr, Samantha Bee, and Joy Reid have all either had to apologize, or lost their jobs entirely.
