It’s easy to think that we know everything there is to know about Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar because she lives her life on TV and makes headlines about everything from a rumored shotgun wedding to having her baby at the hospital instead of at home. But, it turns out that she has a secret talent that fans didn’t know about until this past week.
It appears that the 20-year-old is a super-talented singer, and the new mom recently got up on stage at church with her brothers and belted out some tunes, surprising everyone with how good she was. She outshined her siblings and even hit some serious high notes in the process.
Usually, the Duggar family gets some serious backlash with their social media posts, but this time fans couldn’t help but praise the video.
“The Duggar family needs to post more music videos,” one person wrote. Another said, “Joy has a beautiful, strong voice! What a blessing to listen to them!”
According to In Touch Weekly, Joy-Anna rarely sings in public. The last time fans heard her perform was when she sang Blue Christmas with her brother, Jason, and Lawson Bates back in 2015.
Joy-Anna became a mom for the first time on February 23rd when she gave birth to her son Gideon Martyn Forsyth. She had a few complications during her delivery, and after laboring at home for hours, she had to go to the hospital when the midwife discovered Gideon was breech.
With a new baby at home, Joy-Anna’s singing career is probably not a priority, but fans have made it clear that they won’t complain if she performs at church again.
As for baby Gideon, he just turned two-months old, and Joy-Anna and her husband Austin Forsyth shared a slideshow of pics and an adorable video with fans this week to celebrate the occasion. Usually, when the Duggars share pictures and videos of their babies, it leads to controversy. But, Gideon looked so happy, healthy, and cute in the recent post, that fans had just one response – he totally looks like his dad.
Fans called him a “carbon copy” and “spittin’ image” of Austin, and some even joked that Joy-Anna had nothing to do with the baby because he looks one-hundred percent like his father.
This is the most we have seen of Gideon since his birth, and it looks like his happy-go-lucky personality is developing nicely, and fans can’t wait to watch him grow up.
Fans can watch Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth tackle parenthood when new episodes of Counting On return to TLC later this summer.
