Jordyn Woods’ Mom Opens Up About The Anguish Her Family Is Going Through While Kylie Jenner’s Ex-Bestie Says She’s Finding Her Self-Worth
It’s been months since the scandal that imploded Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner’s friendship took place but both families are still feeling the effects of what happened. The 21-year-old recently completed an interview where she opens up about her life post-Kylie.
Jordyn has become the new it girl. Although she is known as the family friend who made out with Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy, her career couldn’t possibly be any more lucrative.
From landing a spot in a couple music videos and on a hit sitcom to collaborating with more brands that ever before — Jordyn is the poster woman for a hot girl summer.
However, with the benefits comes the detriment. Her mental health was strongly impacted when the world pointed their fingers at her for breaking up Khloe’s family.
She explained to Teen Vogue that she is still trying to find herself.
‘Everyone is trying to figure out what I’m doing but, to be honest, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m finding my self-worth. At 21, this is the very beginning, even though I feel so old. This is the time you figure out who you are, and don’t let anyone define you. Identity is something everyone struggles with. Everyone wants to fit in and find their place, and it’s so hard sometimes. Everyone tries to be the same person because they don’t know who they are.’
She also revealed that she turned to journaling as an escape. Since the incident, Woods trust issues have increased tenfold and she still gets emotional when she reads her entries from the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, her mother took to Instagram to share Jordyn’s feature in the fashion mag and opened up about how she prays that the families are able to mend their friendships.
‘Thank you @teenvogue for such a beautiful and real interview with @jordynwoods! To incorporate @jodiewoods in this also was magical! If you get one of us, then you get all of us. To sit back and watch @jordynwoods go through all of this mental and emotional anguish has been very emotional for us and we pray for everyone daily. To see your kids hurt at any age is difficult to say the least. All I can say is that I hope everyone out there is perfect and no one has to ever endure any bumps along the journey of growing. To watch the majority of her friends leave her, not be able to go get services where she got accustomed to going and get bullied by the world, it takes a strong a** family and individual to be able to deal with that on a daily basis. I am proud of your strength, your love of family and God, and your willingness to everyday want to move forward and do something positive @jordynwoods!! We are praying that friendships can be mended as life is short and no one is perfect. All those who truly know her and us, know that love is all we have to give. We for real got this and for life I have the most valuable gift, my family.’
