Looks like Uncle Jesse is gonna be a dad. The handsome and suave character that was everybody’s favorite uncle on 90’s hit Full House is expecting a bundle of joy of his own with fiancee Caitlin McHugh.
The two announced they were getting married a couple of weeks ago and now the news that they are expecting!
When the news was revealed Stamos seemed happy and at ease, saying that he’s had plenty of practice over the years so he has no doubt that he’ll be a “fun dad.”
In the age of gender reveal parties, the couple is opting to keep the sex of the baby a mystery until much later. Stamos also implied that the baby on board will likely get a sibling at some point in the future as well.
There is some talk about this relationship and many men in Hollywood dating and marrying much younger women. David Foster and Katherine McPhee, Scott Disick and Sofia Richie, Steven Tyler and Aimee Ann Preston.
The list goes on and on. Stamos is 21 years McHugh’s senior. Some believe it’s a maturity factor while others think it’s socialization, an albeit flawed and problematic one.
Stamos does comment on becoming a father in his 50s by saying that he really had to work on himself before he could think about getting married and having kids. To some, that translates to living the bachelor life and shirk responsibilities for as long as humanly possible.
After all, men don’t have the biological clocks that women do.
Stamos says that he knew McHugh was the one for some time but that the pregnancy happened before the engagement. Despite the timing, Stamos asked her to marry him soon after as it had already been his plan in the upcoming months ahead.
The model says that her hubby-to-be even called her parents to ask for their blessing.
One of McHugh’s favorite places is Disneyland, she’s a real Disney aficionado. At the end of October, he popped the question in that very place to which she answered a gleeful yes.
No word on when she’s due or if the wedding will happen before or after the baby’s arrival.
