John Legend Talks Being Dad-Shamed For Simply Holding Daughter In His Arms: 'Let Parents Be Parents!'
John Legend talked about being dad-shamed on social media! At this point in time, most starts understand already that being judged for random things by haters comes with the territory.
The singer was criticized by one commenter for literally carrying his one-year-old daughter Luna in his arms.
‘So tired of seeing them carrying her. She needs no legs then,’ the hater wrote.
‘It was hilarious. People, you know, I think people kind of … they see one photo, and they want to make judgments about how people live their lives, and I think the best advice for all of us is, let parents be parents and do not criticize based on what you see on social media,’ Legend responded.
His wife, Chrissy Teigen, who is expecting the couple’s second child is well known for how outspoken she is so she couldn’t miss the opportunity to shoot back at the user herself.
‘Are you so tired of it? Does it make you so sad and upset? We’re so sorry to make you, queen Holland Meissner of the universe sad and upset. What can we do for you to make it better, sweet angel.’ Savage!
Meanwhile, John is fortunately way too busy to see most of the hate comments.
The star is currently preparing to take on the titular character of the iconic musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
‘We have been in this room every day for, like, four to six to seven hours. It is all been about really learning the material, learning how we’re all moving together, working together, and then once we establish that, really connecting with the characters and with the music. I hope they like it, you know?’ the man said about the process.
