Joey King Says That Man Thought She Had Cancer On An Airplane

Joey King wasn’t happy at all when a fellow passenger made fun of her on an airplane for her new haircut, a style which she’s forced to have as a part of her upcoming film. Film and television enthusiasts know that actors and actresses are often contractually obligated to have a certain look about them, including The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus, who has long hair to portray Daryl Dixon.
The 19-year-old actress, currently, is rocking a shaved head because of a movie role, and she told the story of a creepy passenger on Twitter who took pictures of her from a distance.
It turns out that a man took a picture of her from a distance as a way of entertaining himself on the plane. He joked to his friend that he better not catch a disease from Joey King.
Check out her tweet below:
Y’all I’m on a plane & this man next to me literally turned to me with his phone in my face & took a photo of me as if I wouldn’t notice & texted his wife that he’s sitting next to a girl who has cancer (just cuz I’m bald) & that hes scared to “catch it”…Y R PPL STUPID SUMTIMES

As you may or may not know, this story is a lot like Savannah Phillips, a plus-sized woman who was body-shamed earlier in the year by a fellow passenger on board of a United Airlines flight.
Back in May of this year, a man referred to Ms. Phillips as a “smelly fatty,” and made several different derogatory tweets about her. Savannah said that what she read on his phone practically confirmed everything she’s self-conscious about.
Lucky for her, a man saw the same text messages and told the flight attendant that he would trade places for her. Some people just don’t have any manners.
Thankfully, Joey King has a lot of friends online who’ll support her through this mess. As most know, she first came to prominence in the successful 2013 horror film, The Conjuring. She was also in Adam Sandler’s Reign Over Me and Quarantine.
Joey is currently in the middle of filming two different movies right now that are in post-production, The Lie, and Zeroville, set for release later this year. Hopefully, the movie does well and it was worth her trouble.
