The new mother took to social media to show off her two months old baby girl, Felicity, but while she is undoubtedly adorable, most people focused on the fact that she was wearing a head wrap and accused Jinger Duggar of cultural appropriation! Are they right or did they go too far as far as political correctness is concerned?
Jinger Duggar and her hubby Jeremy Vuolo went on a Texas trip this past weekend and the baby was with them as well!
The family of three had a lot of fun visiting Chicago and they even watched the Chicago Cubs play, while there.
Jinger and Jeremy made sure to mark the precious moments by posing for pictures, one of which caused a lot of backlash.
The little one’s maroon head wrap enraged many fans who slammed the parents who put it on the infant for cultural appropriation.
‘This is racism,’ someone wrote, while someone else thought it was a form of ‘microaggression.’
A fan attempted to defend Jinger by saying Khloe Kardashian’s baby True also wears head wraps very often but another user explained: ‘The difference is, her baby is African American and entitled to wear one.’
It looks like even those who didn’t care much about the cultural appropriation aspect disliked the head wrap.
‘I really think a French beret is more baby appropriate and fashionable,’ one comment read.
And that was not all! Many were outraged by the fact that they took Felicity to a baseball game!
‘This is not having any regard for her well being and comfort. Irresponsible to drag a baby that young to a loud, rowdy stadium!’
‘Never a fan of bringing baby out in large public places without [the] baby having its shots. Way too many infectious germs out there for her.’
