On Jimmy Kimmel’s late night TV show on Tuesday, Kimmel told the young reality star, Arie Luyendyk Junior, to slow down, and to not be in such a rush to get married. As you may know, on the same night, Arie proposed to Lauren Burnham.
Like many viewers of the reality series, Kimmel couldn’t understand why Arie wanted to get hitched so badly, especially considering his first romance on TV ended up being a heartbreaking scandal.
Kimmel wanted desperately to know why the reality star is in such a hurry to walk down the aisle.
According to Arie, he and Lauren have been spending a lot of time together and know it’s time to get on with that part of their lives; they know it’s “just right.”
Kimmel, who’s not one for vague responses, got deep into the matter and asked him how many months they’d been dating precisely. After Arie told him it had just been two and a half months, Kimmel joked that two and a half months is not a few, it’s a couple, a ‘few’ is at least three.
Jimmy went on to criticize the notion of getting engaged and married so soon. To make matters worse, Lauren admitted they had already started planning their wedding together.
Jimmy said they’re not wasting time one bit, and hilariously, Arie and Lauren talked about how they hadn’t been to a restaurant yet, and Jimmy sarcastically said, “yeah, you should get married right away.”
As you may know, Arie’s relationships have been a significant topic of discussion, with some of his old friends even coming out and alleging that he’s utterly incapable of being in a committed engagement.
