In his brand new tell-all titled simply ‘Fear,’ famous journalist Bob Woodward pens that John Kelly and Jim Mattis are as unhappy with the president’s antics as the rest of us. Not only that but it seems like they are so frustrated with him that they’re calling Trump names!
Knowing that the Donald really prides himself with the variety of petty and childish nicknames he assigns his opponents, there is no surprise some people are doing the same to him!
In case you didn’t know, Bob Woodward is one of the two Washington Post journalists who contributed to taking down none other than former President Richard Nixon and his equally problematic administration.
And now, in his new book, he is calling the current commander in chief nuts.
He also claims that two of the people most close to the president, Chief of Staff John Kelly, as well as the Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis, are sick and tired of Trump’s behavior.
But what drives them crazy the most is apparently his inability to comprehend the effects of a possible nuclear war.
That being said, the famed journalist claims they are done being silent about such a serious topic.
The Washington Post was the first to share an excerpt from the book.
Kelly, who supposedly gets angry a lot told colleagues Trump is ‘unhinged.’
‘He’s an idiot. It is pointless to try and convince him of anything. He has gone off the rails. We are in Crazytown. I do not even know why any of us are here. This is the worst job I’ve ever had,’ he supposedly said during one meeting.
Woodward goes on in the excerpt to say that during a National Security Council meeting Jim Mattis got frustrated when Trump repeatedly asked him why the U.S. spends so much money on the Korean peninsula.
‘Mattis was particularly exasperated and alarmed, telling close associates that the president acted like — and had the understanding of — ‘a fifth- or sixth-grader,’’ Woodward writes.
Mattis had to explain that the expenses in the region are intended to ‘avoid a Third World War’ but it’s implied Trump still didn’t get it.
