It looks like love lasts forever after all. Jill Zarin, former star of Real Housewives Of New York City, feels fortunate to have shared years with her deceased husband, Bobby Zarin. An insider said recently, “Jill feels incredibly lucky to have spent many years alongside Bobby.”
“They had a great relationship, and it was so profound. It’s a shame to see him pass away, but such is life. People die sometimes, and that’s the tragedy of life. Sometimes you have to accept the fact that people leave this mortal coil.”
The insider said Jill felt lucky to spend those short years for him because he had prostate cancer already when she met him. Bobby passed away at the age of 71 on the 13th of January after a very long battle with cancer.
In a statement on Jill’s website, they said they were “devastated to share the news” that Bobby passed away. Although, he died peacefully surrounded by his friends and family.
Rest In Peace my love. Words can not express the hole in my heart. Bobby taught me what true and deep love is. Thank you my love for sharing your life with me.. for raising Allyson as if she was your own, being an amazing father and grandfather and teaching me how to be a better person. You inspire those around you to be the best they can be. I will never forget you… your legacy lives on through your beautiful children and grandchildren . I will continue to raise money and awareness for ITOG ( international Thyroid Oncology Group) so maybe this won’t happen to the next guy who draws the proverbial short straw. I will continue to honor you and make you proud . You taught me so many lessons. I will turn the lights off when I leave a room and try not to lose my keys! Lists! Yes I will make lists now that you can’t remind me. Thank you to all our friends, family and fans for the most incredible love you have shown our family. The messages bring tears to my eyes and will continue reading them all in the coming weeks. I will continue my tribute in the coming days and weeks and if you want to share anything please leave messages. Tomorrow is the funeral so I will sleep now. Love Jill
Back in 2009, Bobby beat cancer of the thyroid, but it came back with a vengeance in 2013 and spread all the way to his lungs.
After it ended up in his brain, Bobby and his family knew it would be tough to fight. The family said in their public statement that no words could honestly express how sad they are to announce his death.
The former RHONYC star and the Zarin Fabrics entrepreneur recently celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary.
Sources who attended the ceremony revealed, “it as an amazing time; everyone was super happy to be there, lots of marriage jokes and people talking about how rare wedding anniversaries are for past ten years.” The funeral was filled with Real Housewives alumni including women such as Bethenny Frankel, who expressed her condolences to a reporter from E! News.
