After meeting with CA lawmakers alongside Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., fans started to worry Jessica Biel might be anti-vaccinations! The reason is that the man’s questioned vaccination programs before.
So is Biel an anti-vaxxer or not? Earlier today, she answered that question, ending people’s confusion once and for all.
In a post on her Instagram account, Jessica Biel explained her stance by saying that: ‘I am not against vaccination — I support kids getting vaccinations and I support families having the right to make an educated medical decision for their kids as well, alongside their physicians. My concern with #SB277 is only regarding medical exemptions.’
‘My dearest friends have a child with a medical condition warranting an exemption from vaccination, and if this bill passes, it would greatly affect their ability to take care of their child. That’s why I talked to legislators and argued against the bill. Because I believe in giving doctors and families they treat the ability to decide what is best for their patients and the ability to provide that treatment.’
As you may know, the speculations that Biel might be against vaccinating kids started when Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. revealed he and Jessica Biel had had a ‘busy and productive day’ at the California State House on June 11.
The man posted no less than nine pics with the actress, giving a sneak peek into their day discussing the SB-277 with California lawmakers.
As for what the new bill is seeking to change, it seems like the State Department of Public Health would be forced to approve any medical exemption written by a specialist since at the moment, young ones can skip the vaccinations by providing a written statement from their doctors.
