Things are pretty much going as planned for Season 2 of the Jersey Shore reboot. Just like in Season 1, Ronnie Magro managed to get himself in a public brawl, but this time it only took 2 days of filming to do it.
Ronnie was caught confronting a mystery man during filming in Las Vegas and their argument almost escalated into an all-out fight. We do not know what sparked the confrontation, but it was pretty clear that Ronnie was ready to throw down.
TMZ released video of the incident, which shows Ronnie going after the man. Fortunately, both men were restrained by a team of security officers and the confrontation did not escalate any further. The incident was reminiscent of Ronnie’s real fight in Season 1, where he knocked a man out and landed himself in jail. MTV cameras were on hand in Vegas so there is a strong chance the encounter will be feature in the upcoming season.
Production for the second season of Jersey Shore kicked off this week in Vegas. The male cast members, including Ronnie and Mike Sorrentino, are currently in Vegas filming along with their female counterparts — JWoww and Snooki. The cast will be staying inside a mansion in Sin City instead of a hotel, which should provide an interesting backdrop for the drama to unfold.
“They are all super excited for Season 2 and feel like this is going to be the best season yet,” an insider dished.
Although a lot of the original cast members will be back in action, Sammi Giancola decided to skip out on Season 2. She is staying out of the limelight largely because of Ronnie, who has proven to be pretty unpredictable. Given Ronnie’s recent fight and past behavior, this was probably a good move on Giancola’s part.
With Season 2 officially underway, it looks like MTV is willing to bring the series back for the foreseeable future. It also looks like the cast will be moving around quite a bit each season, though future locations have been kept tightly under wraps. The network has not confirmed that a third season is a go, but considering how fans reacted to Season 1, it’s a good chance that Jersey Shore is here to stay. Now if only Ronnie could control his temper.
MTV has not announced an official premiere date for Season 2 of Jersey Shore, which is expected to return later this year.
