The cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has been filming season two in Las Vegas for the past week and a half, but when Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino posted a pic on Instagram of the gang out in Sin City, fans quickly noticed that Deena Cortese was missing. Could her absence mean that she is expecting a baby?
According to Life & Style, Cortese posted a statement on social media explaining why she wasn’t in Vegas, but then she mysteriously deleted it.
“I just want to make it clear that it’s not [because] I’m pregnant that I’m not in Las Vegas,” wrote Cortese. “I am NOT pregnant. I am not in Vegas [because] I have some personal stuff going on at home that I need to attend to which prevented my schedule and production schedule to match up accordingly. Now let’s put the rumors to rest. Thank you.”
Cortese, who is married to Chris Buckner, has been vocal about wanting to be a mom. She and Buckner tied the knot in October of last year, and when she saw Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley with their kids, baby fever hit Cortese hard.
Farley is married to Roger Mathews, and they have a three-year-old daughter named Meilani and a two-year-old son named Greyson. Polizzi is married to Jionni LaValle, and they also have two kids – five-year-old Lorenzo and three-year-old Giovanna.
Cortese has said she originally wanted two kids, but her husband wants three and she is ok with that.
We don’t know what the “personal stuff” is that Cortese is dealing with, and it isn’t clear if she will be returning later to film the rest of season two. The cast has just wrapped up filming in Las Vegas, and now they are headed back to New Jersey to finish shooting.
Things did not go smoothly in Vegas, so they decided to cut their time there a bit short. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro had a run-in with his baby mama, Jen Harley, that resulted in police issuing a warrant for her arrest.

The two broke up just weeks after Harley gave birth to their daughter, Ariana Skye, and since then they have been fighting on social media. But this past week while the cast was at Planet Hollywood on the Las Vegas strip, Harley showed up and allegedly assaulted Ortiz-Magro before fleeing the scene.
The first season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has been a ratings success for MTV, with the premiere drawing 10 million viewers. The final episode of season one will air on June 28th, and season two will premiere on MTV later this year.
