Just a couple of days after welcoming his baby into the world with billionaire heiress, Chloe Green, Jeremy Meeks is now a single man, according to the law anyway. As you may or may not know, Jeremy and his ex-wife, Melissa, broke up after she found out he was cheating on her with the Topshop heiress.
In a report from Us Weekly, Jeremy and Melissa finalized the last details of their legal separation on the 6th of June, Wednesday. And while one might think there’s a lot of animosity between the two of them, the couple managed to remain amicable for the sake of their children.
Melissa and Jeremy both share legal custody of their eight-year-old son, Jeremy Junior. However, Melissa has primary physical custody, and Jeremy has 30% of the “timeshare.”
In other words, Jeremy legally has the right to see his child for 30% of the time. Additionally, the model has to pay Melissa around $1,000 in child support.
Jeremy also has to pay Melissa approximately $12,000 for her lawyer fees. Melissa hired the celebrity attorney, Lisa Bloom, who has worked for a plethora of women in the past.
Some of her most famous clients include Mischa Barton, Blac Chyna, and several others. She even worked for Kathy Griffin during her Donald Trump-photo fiasco.
The news of their legal separation comes shortly after the 27-year-old Topshop heiress took to Instagram to show the world their baby boy named Jayden.
She wrote on Instagram, “Mommy and Baby both doing well.” The fashion icon also asked her fans to respect their privacy. In case you didn’t hear, Jeremy and Melissa were spotted together while on vacation in July 2017.
At the time, he was still married to Melissa, and one of his fans shared a photo of the couple on Melissa’s social media. Meeks said she was “devastated” when she saw the picture.
