Jennifer Garner cannot wait until her divorce with Ben Affleck is finally settled. The actress has reportedly requested that a private judge handle the divorce because the regular courts are taking too long to process the paperwork. If everything goes as planned, Garner hopes to be finished with the divorce and on with her life before the year is out.
Garner and Affleck initially announced their breakup in the early summer of 2015. It took them two years to actually file the divorce papers because of Affleck’s drinking issues.

Sources say that Garner did not want to iron out a custody agreement until Affleck stopped drinking. Unfortunately, the Justice League star has been in and out of rehab over the past two years, which is why is has taken so long to finalize the divorce.
“Jen wanted to give Ben the time and opportunity to work on his health and sobriety,” an insider dished.
According to TMZ, Garner hopes that Affleck’s latest stint in rehab worked and that he will stay sober long enough to settle the divorce. To that end, Garner enlisted the help of a private judge to speed things along.
In the original paperwork, Garner and Affleck agreed to split the custody of their three kids. Despite Affleck’s issues with alcohol, Garner is not expected to change the custody agreement.
Garner and Affleck met while filming Pearl Harbor in 2001. A few years later they sparked up a romance on the set of Daredevil and got hitched in the summer of 2005. The pair had three kids over the course of their marriage: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
Neither Jennifer Garner or Affleck have not commented on the latest rumors surrounding their divorce. They did, however, release a joint statement two years ago asking the media to respect their privacy while they finalize their divorce.
Ben Affleck did release a statement on Instagram thanking his fans and revealing that he had completed his latest stint in rehab.
