According to Jennifer Aniston, the boys – Chandler, Ross, and Joey – from the classic TV show, Friends, are reluctant to film a reboot. During her appearence on The Late Late Show With James Corden, the 49-year-old actress said, “and the boys are a little less excited about it for some reason.”
Running from 1994 until 2004, Friends was arguably one of the most successful television series in the 1990s, and possibly even of all time. It has since ranked in the top ten lists of the industry’s most established critics, in many cases ranking in the number one spot.
Aniston, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Courteney Cox starred in an ensemble cast telling the story of six friends living together and learning to understand themselves and each other.
While the men don’t want to do a reboot, Jennifer joked there was another option instead. She and the rest of the female cast could do a “The Golden Girls“-sort remake in 40-or-so years. Remake or no remake, Friends has forever made the stars of that show rich due to years of syndication.

According to Aniston, she had no idea Netflix currently was in the middle of extending a $100 million deal to secure the streaming rights.
Interestingly, Cox, 54, and Kudrow, 55, are still quite good friends, but Jen hasn’t hung around the rest of the cast in a very long time.
The idea of having all of the original six in a room again for the umpteenth time has excited many, including Ellen DeGeneres. During a February appearence on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said, “anything is a possibility, Ellen.”
In the past, Jennifer doubted there was a tasteful way to reboot Friends. “I don’t know that there’s a way to re-do it,” Jennifer said it would be great to make a reboot work, but the chance of it was slim.
Aniston recently got divorced from her man, Justin Theroux, in what was one of the biggest breakups of the summer. In the media, reports have consistently questioned Jen’s ability as a romantic partner.
It’s a claim she has vehemently protested in the past, arguing that the media has criticized her personal life due to sexist unconscious bias toward shaming single women.
