Rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s relationship was greatly affected by the fact that they allegedly couldn’t have babies. However, that is not the sole reason why the couple put an end to their marriage.
Apparently, their inability to have kids was something they fund out early on in their relationship.
‘When Jen met Justin, she’d almost given up on the idea she would have kids. They wanted to have a child, but it did not work out,’ one insider revealed, adding that even though it was disappointing, it wasn’t devastating for the pair.
‘She’d been sad that it never happened, but it never consumed her.’
But at some point, other problems arose between the two.
It seems like Jennifer and Justin wanted entirely different things.
For instance, Aniston wished to live in Los Angeles while Theroux greatly preferred New York.
‘For months they tried to make it work. They even had therapy. Jen feels sad and disappointed. She did not expect to be single again,’ the source added.
That being said, their love for one another never really went away, but they were rendered unable to adapt and compromise in order to make it work.
Their joint statement that announced their decision to have a divorce read: ‘In an effort to reduce any further speculation, we’ve decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We’re two best friends who’ve decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our friendship.’
Jennifer and Justin were romantically involved for almost seven years, two and a half of which they spent married.
