The mother of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is afraid for her daughter’s safety. On the recent reunion, Barbara Evans tells Dr. Drew that she has some major concerns about Jenelle’s safety.
“It’s been kind of a tough run lately. Do you feel like Jenelle is okay?” Dr. Drew asked Barbara before she answered, “No, I don’t feel Jenelle is okay!” and added, “David is going to hurt her.”
Barbara is referring to David Eason, Jenelle’s husband, and he is the main reason that Barbara and Jenelle haven’t gotten along recently. Jenelle is always defending Eason, and she told Dr. Drew in the preview that everything her mom does is an attempt to get back at her.
Barbara currently has full custody of Jenelle’s 9-year-old son, Jace, and Jenelle has concerns about how her mom treats her son, not to mention the things her mom says about her.
But her relationship with her mom isn’t Jenelle’s only problem. The mother of three told her Twitter followers this past weekend that she is “butting heads” with Teen Mom 2 producers, but she will still be appearing on the show that made her famous.
She tweeted that she has received offers from “many different people,” but she has to turn them down because she is locked in a contract with MTV. She ended the tweet by adding the hashtag #annoying.
After producers fired Eason earlier this year because of homophobic comments on Twitter, Jenelle has not been afraid to talk about her desire to leave the show and the other employment opportunities coming her way. While threatening to leave Teen Mom 2 in an episode that aired last month, the 26-year-old told the show’s producers that she had offers from Amazon and Netflix.
“I will go do my own thing and I will get out of my contract,” Jenelle said. “Best believe — mark my f—ing words, I’m not doing it. I’ll go do my own thing.”

Jenelle also revealed that she would be taping her own separate segment instead of participating in the season eight reunion. This is a big disappointment for fans since Jenelle has had an explosive season that included a road rage incident where she pulled a gun on another driver.
The North Carolina native made headlines after the incident because her son Jace was in the passenger seat. It also prompted Nathan Griffith, one of Jenelle Evan’s baby daddies, to file for full custody of their four-year-old son Kaiser.
