According to a report from BET.com, it turns out that Jeannie Mai and Young Jeezy may have been an item for longer than fans originally assumed. It was noted by multiple outlets recently that Jeezy and Mai showed up as a couple to the SnoBall Gala, which raises money for the artist’s non-profit organization.
A friend who spoke with People Magazine about their romance dished on the intimate details between the pair which ultimately led to their coupling. The anonymous insider said to the outlet that Mai and Jeezy have actually been seeing each other for approximately one year.
Moreover, their joy for helping others through various charitable causes played a crucial role in bringing them together as a couple. The friend who spoke with People Magazine also noted that Jeezy has been on The Real a number of times.
According to the insider, Jeannie is extremely passionate about helping victims of sexual assault, as well as fighting back against human trafficking. Moreover, Jeezy is the creator of Street Dreamz Foundation, which is an organization designed to help kids become leaders.
Speaking about their romance on The Real previously, Mai said Jeezy was very special to her, and they were having a great time together. As it was previously reported, the rapper will be Mai’s first romance since she and her ex-husband, Freddy Harteis, split up.
According to an October 2018 report from People Magazine, Jeannie said on an episode of The Real that she actually regretted getting married to Harteis. While holding back tears on the show, Mai said that if she knew what she knew now, they never would’ve tied the knot.
From Mai’s account, Freddy used to say to her all of the time that you can never really know someone until they don’t get something they want, and he, ironically, was the one to prove it to her. Harteis and Mai got married 12 years ago in 2007 and broke up last year after 10 years.
Even though their separation was nasty, the co-host said on the show she loved Freddy all the way until the end – even after they separated.
