Jay-Z may have finally buried the hatchet. He appeared on My Next Guests Need No Introduction with David Letterman and what he said will make a lot of fans happy.
When he was asked about his relationship with Kanye West, he said that Kanye is his brother.
‘We’re beyond friends.’ Jay continued and even gushed about Kanye who he also called brilliant during the interview, saying: ‘The thing I respect about him is he is the same person.’
Jay-Z and Kanye’s feud got really insane a while ago after Kanye called out his friend during a rant onstage at a concert back in 2016.
In August 2017, Jay talked about Kanye’s rant, obviously being extremely upset over it. Jay-Z confirmed back then that Kanye disrespected his family including Beyonce and their daughter Ivy.
‘But what really hurt, you can‘t bring my kids, my wife into it. Kanye‘s my little brother, he’s talked about me 100 times, he made a song called ‘Big Brother,’ we’ve gotten past bigger issues,’ Jay-Z told Rap Radar a while ago.
He also said that Kanye knew very well that he crossed the line because they had never gone so long without talking to each other.
‘I know he knows, because we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements, and we’ve had many’ he stated.
We hope that Jay-Z and Kanye managed or will manage to work things out because they have been best friends since forever and it’s a pity to see such a friendship end.
