Jay Z Gets Candid About Fighting To Keep His Marriage From Crumbling After Cheating On ‘Soulmate’ Beyonce – ‘The Biggest Apology Is Changed Behavior’

The rapper stopped by The Van Jones Show today and was willing to open up about what it took for him to save his marriage with Beyonce after making the mistake of cheating on her. Jay Z called her his ‘soulmate’ and explained that the reason why he decided to keep fighting for their relationship and make it work was that he loves her.
‘You can be in love, and you can love someone, but if you have not experienced love and you do not understand it, and you do not have the tools to move forward, then you are going to have complications,’ Jay stated.
In addition, from his point of view, for couples who don’t talk about their problems early on and pretend there is nothing wrong, everything ‘blows up at some point.’
‘For us, we chose to fight for, for our family. To give our children a different outcome. To break that cycle for black men and women. We were never a celebrity couple, we were a couple who just happened to be celebrities. We’re real people.’

As fans of the power couple definitely know, this is not the only time the rapper opened up about him being unfaithful and how that almost ruined his life.
He, in fact, used that experience and wrote songs about it, pouring his heart out to his fans.
And it looks like he’s definitely learned his lesson as he stated that saying sorry is not enough – in reality, ‘changed behavior’ is the biggest apology.
‘You have to acknowledge the pain. You have to let that person have their say. You have to really work through it and really be honest no matter how many times. It takes a while. It is hard. It is difficult to hear, it is difficult to say, it is difficult to listen to that pain. You have to be strong enough to go through that – and on the other side it’s beautiful.’
