It’s been a hard week for the singer, but she has a lot of support, so she’s doing Okay. Janet Jackson took to social media to show her gratitude towards her many fans that have been sending her their good thoughts after her father, Joe Jackson passed away.
On her Instagram page, Janet posted a video in which she thanked everyone while also announcing that she was ready for her world tour.
‘Hey you guys, it’s been a pretty rough week. But we are excited. I am excited. We cannot wait to see you. It’s been way too long. I miss you guys so much. I am about to jump on this plane and start this tour and like I said, I cannot wait to see you.’
At some point during the clip, some sounds could be heard coming from her baby boy Eissa.
‘Those are my baby’s footsteps you hear. Alright, sweetheart. I’m right here. Okay, I’ll pick you up baby,’ the doting mother said.
‘Thank you for all your love and support. Means so much to me during this time. Cannot wait to see you all on #SOTW tour. First stop: @essencefest,’ the star wrote in the caption.
Janet Jackson’s set to resume her world tour, starting with a New Orleans performance.
Afterwards, there will be 14 more stops throughout the entire summer and fans will be able to enjoy live some of her most iconic hits such as Rhythm Nation and That’s the Way Love Goes.
Aside from her career, Jackson is mourning the passing of the Jackson patriarch and so are the other family members.
Paris Jackson was one of the first to share a touching tribute that read: ‘You are the first true Jackson. The legend that started it all.’
‘None of us would be anywhere near where we are at if it weren’t for you. You are the strongest man that I know. Your life’s work will go down in history.’
