Jane Fonda underwent plastic surgery for the sake of keeping up appearances in Hollywood, but now, she feels as though that may have been a mistake. She said she’s grateful for the way she looks, but she’s “had plastic surgery,” the 80-year-old actress admitted.
In a recently released documentary from HBO called, Jane Fonda in Five Acts, the star dishes on everything from her lifestyle, career, and beauty habits. Jane claims she isn’t going to deceive her fans about what she has gone through to keep her youthful look.
According to the long-time Hollywood star, she had bags under her eyes so she had work done to them as well as her jawline so she could feel more comfortable with her body.
Jane said she didn’t want to look exhausted anymore despite feeling fresh. And in one way, she hates that plastic surgery seemed like a necessity, but on the other, she’s glad that she still manages to look good for her age.
“I wish I was braver,” the star remarked, but she is what she is. Moreover, Jane stated her admiration of Vanessa Redgrave’s appearence, arguing that she had a beautiful “lived-in face.”
In Jane’s younger years, she released a workout campaign, and these days, she still puts in the work to look healthy and fit. While she still goes to the gym, she takes her time, after all, she is in her 80’s. The star emphasized the importance of having good posture, which can do a lot for the way a person looks; it’s all about one’s mindset, rather than physical age.
As you may know, people in the entertainment industry often get plastic surgery to ensure their looks don’t fade, that way they can continue to get roles created for younger people. The practice is especially common for women, but men are now going the same route.
