Disgraced director, James Toback, denied all of the allegations made against him by many actresses including Julianne Moore, Selma Blair, and various others. In a new interview with the Rolling Stone, the director unequivocally denied all of the accusations.
In discussion with the publication, James said he has “struggled seriously” to make a lot of films which he wrote and directed without any money. His films mean the world to him.
Toback continued by stating the idea that he would do such a thing is totally disgusting him. The director said anyone who suggests he did otherwise is a “lying c***sucker or c***.” James asked, “Can I be any clearer than that?”
Toback said he wants to “spit” in the person’s face who accused him of such actions. He claimed that no one who has ever worked with him would say such things.
In a report published by the Los Angeles Times, allegedly over thirty women accused the director of harassment.
Many of the actresses claimed that he approached them on the street in New York City with intentions of giving them a part in a movie.
In another story published by the organization, they claim “200 women” have come forward with similar stories. Some of the actresses include Julianne Moore, Selma Blair, and Rachel McAdams.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the 56-year-old actress, Julianne Moore, said the director wanted her to come to his apartment for an audition. Allegedly, he asked her again, and she said, “I said don’t you remember you did this before?”
As you may know, sexual harassment, rape, coercion, and intimidation have become seriously contentious issues ever since thirty years of assault perpetrated by Harvey Weinstein hit the mainstream news.
