Jada Pinkett Smith Is Confused Why R. Kelly's Music Sales Have Improved Since The Release Of His Scandalous Docuseries
There has been an entire debate going on after the release of R. Kelly’s first episode in the six-part docuseries about him titled Surviving R. Kelly. It is safe to say that the production that airs on Lifetime, has sparked a lot of controversy and now, Jada Pinkett Smith is joining the conversation.
In one vid that she posted on her social media platform of choice – Instagram – the actress was shocked and confused about reports claiming the problematic man’s music streams have actually spiked a lot since the docu-series was dropped.
It makes sense that Jada is having ‘a reeeeally difficult time understanding why’ but she’s trying anyway!
‘I think it is important that I understand why. I would like for you guys to help me understand what I am missing, even if I am missing something that I do not necessarily agree with. I just want to understand what I am missing,’ the star went on to say in the footage she shared with her many followers.
As you may be aware, the series brings forth a number of people that allege the artist has abused multiple women, be it sexually, mentally or physically.
Not only that but some witnesses say there was an inappropriate relationship between him and his protege, Aaliyah, who, at the time, was still underage!
Regardless of the very serious accusations against him, Kelly has repeatedly denied everything!
Jada continued to discuss the situation, asking her fans to give their own opinions on why exactly the man’s music sales have improved despite his scandal.
‘I need some help in understanding. What am I missing??? And I really don't wanna believe that it's because black girls don't matter enough, or is that the reason? Let me know,’ the star added as she ended her clip.
