Jada Pinkett Smith And Leah Remini Open Up About Scientology On 'Red Table Talk,' Clearing Up THAT Rumor!
As you may remember, Leah Remini previously claimed that Jada Pinkett Smith was part of the Church of Scientology, only for Will’s wife to deny it! Now, the two women actually got to discuss it on Jada’s Facebook talk show, Red Table Talk, during an episode set to air on Monday.
That being said, ET has obtained an exclusive sneak peek at their conversation.
In the clip, Remini tells Jada: ‘Regardless of what was being presented to you, from me as a friend, you were seeing a side of me that was not 100 percent authentic because my job was to be a perfect person in front of you, or any celebrity, to get you into Scientology, fully indoctrinated, fully on board and deserting any other beliefs.’
Back in September Jada addressed Leah’s claims that she was a member of the religious cult.
In a series of tweets, the actress set the record straight: ‘I recently lit Shabbat candles with Rabbi Bentley at Temple Sinai... but I'm not Jewish. I've prayed in mosques all over the world... but I'm not a Muslim. I've read the Bhagavad Gita... but I'm not a Hindu. I've chanted and meditated in some of the most magnificent temples on earth… but I'm not a Buddhist.’
She went on to also argue that ‘I've studied Dianetics, and I appreciate the merits of Study Tech… but I'm not a Scientologist. I practice human kindness and believe that we each have the right to determine what we are and what we aren't. NO ONE ELSE can hold that power.’
Jada previously shared with ET the news that Leah would stop by her Facebook Watch show at some point.
‘Leah reached out to me, and she opened a space for healing between us. So I embraced it and we decided to bring it to the table,’ she told the outlet.
