J. Cole’s Reveals Wife’s Pregnancy In New Single
According to a report from Just Jared, J. Cole and his wife, Melissa Heholt, are about to have another child. J. Cole revealed the news on Dreamville’s record, Revenge Of The Dreamers III, on the 5th of July, Friday.
The rapper made the announcement in the last single of the album, Sacrifices, featuring himself, Saba, Smino, as well as EarthGang.
Regarding his wife, Melissa, the rapper says in the song, “I had nowhere to go, she gave me a place to stay.” He adds later in the same track, “She gave me the gift of my son, and plus we got one on the way.” As it was previously reported, Melissa Heholt and J. Cole tied the knot in 2015 and they already have one child together, a boy.
Back in May of 2018, the “Middle Child” rapper dished on his married/father- life in an interview with the Radio DJ, Angie Martinez. Speaking on what his life has been like lately, he stated that his obvious purpose in this world is to be a great father and a husband.
Cole added when he’s at home, playing with his child, he’s at his happiest, however, he likes to always create music. If he goes a few days without creating a beat, writing a song, or rapping, he starts to feel unhappy. In other words, it doesn’t look like fatherhood is going to pull J. Cole away from his art anytime soon.
According to a report from Consequence Of Sound, the politically-charged rapper just announced the upcoming release of Revenge Of The Dreamers III. It marks the third installment in his pre-existing series, Revenge Of The Dreamers, and comes approximately four years after his second Revenge Of The Dreamers record.
His latest work comes with the successful singles, “Down Bad,” “Middle Child,” and also has some fellow rappers in the game on the album, including Smino, Dreezy, Omen, Ari Lennox, Ty Dolla Sign, as well as Johnny Venus. His last solo record, however, was released last year in 2018.
