Tamar Braxton’s visit with celebrity therapist Iyanla Vanzant didn’t go so well. After the “Braxton Family Values” star went on a social media rant about Iyanla, a new report claims that Vanzant is threatening to sue.
Tamar, Trina, Toni, and Towanda Braxton decided to boycott the show for higher wages and a larger wardrobe budget. The sisters claim that Traci Braxton went behind their backs when she decided to continue the show without them.
In an episode that will air on September 20, the sisters seek Vanzant’s help to solve their problems — something that may have ended up being a big mistake.
Immediately after their session, Tamar and her assistant called out the mediator for making things worse.
In one of her tweets, the singer says: “Rhonda [Iyanla] is the devil! Trust me!”
She later revealed on “The Wendy Williams show that she was forced to reveal that she was molested by both sides of her family which led to her rumored walk out.
The Jasmine Brand is now reporting that Vanzant may be preparing to take legal action for defamation against the network and the production company.
First for Tamar’s claims that the family appeared on her series “Iyanla Fix My Life” when in reality Iyanla was actually appearing on “Braxton Family Values” and second for Tamar and her assistant bashing her on social media.
The gossip site writes: “Referring to Iyanla as a ‘fake’ and a ‘fraud’ could have serious implications on the casting process for Iyanla Fix My Life and her reputation in general. it’s her duty to protect her reputation, brand and OWN’s brand. At this point, this is defamation and there should be consequences.”
The article then goes on to say that the OWN network claims to have no involvement in the dispute and Iyanla would ideally settle this issue out of court. What do you think Vanzant should do?
